Yes, I know what you mean about not asking the questions at the time they should have been asked. I wish I could sit down for just one hour and talk with my father about his family. They were Cajuns and live/lived such an interesting life.
I guess you have figured out that Williams was NOT her last name - that it was the surname given to her by Rev. Williams. Do you have any idea of where she was born? Write to me at and tell me anything and everything you know about her. ANYTHING! EVERYTHING! Sometimes it's the little things that you don't think that are important that could 'set someone off' in their quest to help you.
The bells on the dress probably mean that she had a dress as a child that had bells on it and wore it on ceremonial occasions.
Let's work together and see what we can come up with, okay?
