Joel Wheaton Early Texas circa 1831

Howdy All,

I am Glenn B. Wheaton A descendant of Joel Wheaton from Harris Texas circa 1831. I think I am pretty much related to most of the Wheaton's whose families were with Texas at the beginning. I recently took a Y DNA test and found that I am an "R1b1b2a1b7c" or L2+. Now I am not too sure what that means but I have been trying to track down a country of origin for Joel Wheaton or his father (whom I have no data on). I also want to find a photo of Joel or some other graphic representation. Since Joel was an associate justice for Texas I would assume one exists...but where? Any ideas out there on where I should search?

Thanks heaps
Glenn
