I have the UCV Camp Roster from that era and it does record C.C. Dunwoody as a member; but your right on the limited service information. After much hairpulling and the gritting of teeth I did manage to find Pvt. Dunwoody's CSA service muster records. As was common of the day they had misspelled his name as C.C. Dounody...would not have guessed that spelling. He enlisted 1863 in Capt. Sam Evans Co, Texas Inf., Griffin's Battalion and later consolidated into Co.C, Spaight's 21st Texas Infantry along with 4 other companies of Griffin's Battalion and 6 companies from the 11th Battalion Texas Infantry.
