Dear Hugh, Thanks for the information you sent. My problem is thus: I have the death certificate for J.T. Springer in 1922 but all the important blanks are filled in as Don't Know. The second J.T. Springer on your list is my uncle. Unfortunately the first Mr. Springer passed away 2 months before my father was born and I am having a hard time connecting him to a mother and father. Until just a few days ago I was not certain what the J.T. really stood for or where he was actually born. Some wonderful person sent info from the draft board that cleared up a few areas so am now trying to find him on a census that would tell me where his parents are from. The last time I worked on family tree I sat at the dest at the Clayton library and rolled microfilm all day. Lots of new things to look at. I just need to learn my way. Thanks for your response. June
