The first 1880 census is the right John W. Hicks then the 1870 right under going backwards. The 1860 census is allso the right one where it shows he was married to Mary.He (John W. Hicks) died in 1899 and is buried in Chims Chapel Cementery near Denton . I know he was born in N.C. and went to Tenn. and later to Denton,I am looking for his father or brothers, I know that his son William Riley Hicks was married to someone named Flaley or Lakey I'm not sure which one then he remarried Sarah E. he had a son with his first wife Thomas J. Hicks,he was my grandfather.Any information about this family would be greatly appreciated ,also I am looking for information on a Riley E. Hicks born 1872 in Tenn. died 1932 in Sanger, Tx. Buried in Sanger cementery .I want to know if he was kin to John W. Hicks or William Riley Hicks.
