Moore of Shelby Co TX

I am looking for ancestors of Thomas Leonard Moore B 4/27/1885, probably in Shelby Co. Texas.

The information I have is derived from cemetery records and may or may not be correct.

I need the name of James' first wife and parents for either/both of them. Family 'legend' has it that James Monroe's father was Cherokee and his mother was a slave girl. James disavowed his Cherokee heritage and became 'white'. All census records of James as an adult shows the children as white - no malado notations. It could be that they were both fair skinned enough to have the chilren's heritage not be questioned once he remarried Nannie Prince.

ANYTHING ANYONE CAN TELL ME WOULD BE A GREAT HELP!
