Sorry, I found "mine" were in Tarrant County, not Montague County or Cooke County. My Cox in-law line came from 1830's Ohio, eventually to Tarrant County after 1900, with some staying in Missouri, Indiana, etc. Part of this line would spend summers on their property in Canada and winter in Fort Worth.
There is a large Cox group in NW Cooke County, including Wila Cox who bought land from my gg-grandfather--over 300 acres right on Red River in NW Arkansas in the 1880's. This clan of Cox families had preachers besides farmers, ginners, etc. Some did marry into some of my "in-law" lines there--but no one directly.
