After the death of Vina Ann Bell Tulloch Robertson in 1871 in Bell County, Texas, J. J. Robertson married widow Jennie Harmon Hood, who had a young daughter.The couple built a house with a Scot style flat-roof, lumber hauled from Rockdale, Texas and square nails.The only Tullochs who lived in the family home were Robert Euclid Tulloch I with his family.The home was sold after Robert’s death.

Belton, Tex., July 18.-- . . . [Evangelist J. P. Lowery of Little Rock, Ark . . . belongs to the Methodist Episcopal church (south) . . . There are two organs and one piano on the platform.They are manipulated my Misses Mabel Pendleton, Alice Davidson, Cora Lee and Manna Hood, assisted by the local musical talent of Belton and surrounding country.The meeting will likely last several weeks and great results are anticipated.
