Remember when you asked if any Renfro's made it to Calif.? I found out that my great uncle, Samuel Jackson Renfro worked in the irrigation systems of Calif. probably in the 1920s. He drove a team of 12 mules to dredge out the ditches. Then they moved to Roscoe, Nolan co, Tx. It's in West Texas. His son told me he remembered when the road to CA was made of Wood. They went back and forth a lot to CA. He also went by the name of Sam Jack Renfro. His brother Charlie was killed by a train in Denton TX.
