Hugh,
I want to thank you for your interest in my problem. After some reflection and going back through my notes, I think my informant on Sue Estes made a mistake. I took the information at face value but when I started looking for the lady, I ran into trouble. The only Sue Estes I could find was born about 1868 in Bowie County. She would have been way too young for Andrew. Sue Townsend makes more sense; Andrew in his fifties, she in her forties when married. I am sending off for the Confederate Pension Applications to see what information is given. I’m glad I asked the question because I got some good information. I went to tmason site also. Phillip
