My name is Clair Elaine Callaway, and I'm looking for my family and I figured that CFA and the geneology forums were a good place to start. Perhaps someone here knows who my family is.
I'm 26 years old and I have a son Gabriel Parker Callaway. I'm originally from Brownsville Texas and I suspect I may still have family in the area.
I have never known any of my Callaway relatives including my father, Royce Lamar Callaway Jr or any of my brothers and sisters whom I know of, but not their names.
My father and mother, Barbara Ann Fernandez, were divorced very shortly after my birth. I was raised by my grandmother, who did not approve of my father and therefore denied any access or contact with that side of my family.
While I have always been curious about my father's side of my family, it wasn't until recent disputes on my mother's side of my family that I've had the guts to go looking for my father's. The situation, which is quite personal, has alienated me and left me hanging out on a limb by myself. It would be wonderful to have a family to belong to again.
