Anything is possible at this point.
What does throw me for a loop is that I have notes from a very old gentleman was died in early 1970's. He knew Matilda and Margaret.
He noted that the husband may have been a Benjamin (?) Carter and that they had two children: a son name Benjamin Franklin Carer b. in Liberty Co., Tx. The only one I can find is born 27 Sept 1888, much later than Matilda.
The daughter was Eunice Elizabeth b. 1863 in Liberty Co., Tx, much earlier than Matilda.
I am not sure if he had his facts straight. It could be they were from another family or siblings of Margaret and/or Matilda.
Now you know why I am so confused. I really appreciate all of you wonderful help. Maybe two heads can straighten this mess out.
Thanks
