In Reply to: census info George Irving Board and Alva Douthitt Board by Rhoda Broaddus of 65424

I think I found Alva's family. 1910 census Van Zandt Co, TX:

Douthitt, Andrew, h, 52, M(2) 5 yrs, b AR, GA, AR
" Bell, w, 34, M(2) 5 yrs, 8 ch, 5 lvg, b TX, TX, TX
" not clear but looks like it could be Alva, d, 15, b TX
" Ethel, d, 14, b TX
" Omer, s, 7, b TX
" O___, d, 7, b TX (looks like twins)
[Bell is second wife, and probably not mother of oldest two children.]

On the 1920 census Andrew, Bell and three children are just four pages away from George and Alva:

Douthitt, Andrew, h, 61, m, b AR, GA, AR
" Bell, w, 61, m, b TX, AR, TX
" Oma, s, 17, b TX
" Osie, d, 17, b TX
" Bertha, d, 1, b TX

You might want to check out the Van Zandt Co, TX GenWeb site.

Oak Hill Cemetery:
Board, Sarah Almyra, 1835 - 1914

Creagleville Cemetery:
Board, Georgia, 1871 - 1912

Look for Board and Douthitt information.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
