Dear Carol Allen,

Now I am VERY confused, where did you find the John P. THORP and Sarah A. E. SEWELL marriage record?

At first I had her husband as John P. THORP because it is in the 1880 Throckmorton Co., TX census Sarah's husband is listed as John P. THORP:

!1880 Throckmorton Co.,Texas Census
Name        Relation       Marital Status       Gender       Race       Age       Birthplace       Occupation       Father's Birthplace       Mother's Birthplace
John P. THORPS        Self        M        Male        W        45        PA        Farmer        PA        PA (should be William M. THORP)
Sarah A. THORPS        Wife        M        Female        W        26        TX        Keeping House        TN        NC
Milton A. THORPS        Son        S        Male        W        19        MO        Works On Farm        PA        IL
Allen A. THORPS        Son        S        Male        W        13        MO        Works On Farm        PA        IL
Mary J. THORPS        Dau        S        Female        W        10        MO               PA        IL
Nevel THORPS        Son        S        Male        W        7        TX               PA        IL
Ida THORPS        Dau        S        Female        W        5        TX               PA        IL
Ellen THORPS        Dau        S        Female        W        3        TX               PA        TX
Laura M. THORPS        Dau        S        Female        W        1        TX               PA        TX
Mary P. SEWEL        SDau        S        Female        W        10        TX               AR        TX
John W. SEWEL        SSon        S        Male        W        8        TX               AR        TX

In the 1900 Throckmorton Co., TX there is a John P. THARP b. July 1834 65 md 36 GA SC SC with a wife Sarah A. THARP b. June 1844 55 md 36 7 children SC SC SC & children--THIS IS NOT MY SARAH GOSSETT SEWELL THORP. (They are also in the 1880 as well.)

In the 1910 Sarah THORP is a widow and boarder 56 b. TX TN NC living with who I think is her daughter Maybelle (20) b. TX PA TX and her husband Nelson DAWSON 27 b. VA - -.

In the 1930 Potter Co. TX Census Sarah is living with her son Willis P. THORP 38 b. New Mexico, Ohio, TX. A friend sent me the 1890 Clayton, Union Co.,New Mexico census:

!1900 Clayton, Union County, New Mexico:
W. M. Thorp/Tharp 64 married 26 freighter PA, PA, PA He can read & write.
Sarah (called his second wife) 46 married 26 yr had 9 kids 5 alive TX, TN, NC
Alcie 16 Texas (should have been in the 1880 Census?)
Bill 10 b. Texas
Willis 8 (b. 1892, in 1930 he said he was 38 b.1826) b. New Mexico.

Then I found they had a baby daughter buried in New Mexico.
!In the Old Clayton Cemetery in Union Co., NM is the baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Thorp (see magazine, New Mexico Genealogist, Vol. 38 June issue, pg. 62).

Then on the internet I found the following which is where I got the William for W.M. THORP:
!Early settlers of Union Co.,New Mexico:1897 William M. THORP.

NOW I AM COMPLETELY CONFUSED--HELP!
April
