Hugh, his first wife was Jesusa Cabrera or deCabrera. On the 1900 census it showed his wife as being Mary (married for 3 years). The children listed on the 1900 census were

Sepreana daughter age 19 illiterate
Laureta daughter age 14 illiterate
Marguarette daughter age 13 illiterate
Alfredo son Age 6, mother born in Mexico (this is my grandfather)
Peter son age 5
Casirino son age 1

It could be that all except Casirino would be from his first wife

I would like to find Alvino's parents names. It is possible they were from Mexico
