[Charles came to U.S. - looks like 1882 on this census, but not clear - naturalized 1896]

Next door:

Graf, Fritz, h, 32, m, b TX, Ger, Ger
" Gracie, w, 18, b MO, MO, KY

On 1930 census Fritz, wife and family are in Brewster Co; and Will, wife and family are in Lamb Co.

You might check out Pecos land and probate records, since census records show he owned land, see what happened to it. You might pin down when he and Mary died.

Or, contact the TX State Archives in Austin, they have a TX state wide death index, first section covers 1903-1930. They can give you date and county of death. You then could obtain a copy of death certificate for Charles and it should have the names of his parents. You could do the same for Mary, and learn her maiden name, too.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
