The "Sene" on the 1930 Census is definitely Melseany Walling. I found her cemetary listing online just a few hours ago. It is as follows:

Mays, Melseany - b. 1 Jan. 1859, d._______, o/s/w Stith Lafayett Mays

Stith died 9 Feb. 1896

A relative once told me that Melseany was almost certainly born in Texas. Does she and/or her Walling relatives show up on the 1860 Census?
