I wrote an extremely detailed message last night and when I hit the key to post it, it said "page not available". So I will try to remember everything I found.
I believe that Otto and Catherine are the parents of Valentine and here are the reasons.
In 1850 Angeline County TX there are three children listed with Otto (Oto) and Catherine (1) Mary C., age 9, born LA,
(2) Julia, age 7, born Texas, and Joseph, age 4, born TX.
In 1860 in Cherokee County they have only two children at home but they are shown as Julia V. age 17 and Joseph V. age 14. I assume child number one is the Mary Catherine that married Charles M. Bell 26 Jun 1860 in Cherokee County. (My record at home doesn't show it, but when I read the Ancestry.com record, it called him Dr. Charles M. Bell)
In 1870, Cherokee, Valentin Sickenberger age 26 is head of household and I am reading the wife's name "Nancy R", age 21. They have a child named Martha V.E. Maybe three names is not uncommon for this family. (Note: There is a marriage record for her to Isaac N. Lusk 28 Apr 1885, Cherokee County)
Just as I was about to close out the message, I found one more thing which I think cinches it all. At least it does if you recognize the brith record that I am going to give you.
William Valentine Sickenberger, born 16 Jan 1885, Cherokee County Texas, to Joseph Valentine Sickenberger and Nancy Rebecca Higgins.
There are some other Sickenberger marriage records in Cherokee County that I didn't include here. Good luck. Carol
