I checked the Cass Co, MO GenWeb site and archived sit for the county, too. It doesn't look like anyone has indexed the Freeman Cemetery, yet, anyway.
On the RAOGK (Random Acts of Genealogical Kindess) site, there are a couple of volunteers listed for Cass Co, MO. One has a book with "most" of the cemeteries in Cass Co. I would try contacting her, maybe she can tell you how many of your Stapp family are buried there, and if they are together in the cemetery.
If that doesn't work, the Texas State Archives in Austin has a TX state wide death index and the first index set covers 1903-1940. They should be able to give you exact date of death, and county where he died, in case he died other then Cass Co. His death will be recorded in the county where he died. You could obtain a copy of his death certificate, which should give the names of his parents. And, you could also look for an obituary for him.
Happy Hunting (^_^)
