I am pretty sure that the Marriage date of 14 June 1891 is correct, but I am also pretty sure that the Phillips Family step child Martha McBryde age 17 whose parents were from Miss. is a different person.
Matties Parents are believed to have been from Tennessee.
Mattie would have been about six years old for the 1880 census.
Many years following Matties death, on a visit to Lydia and Dekalb, my mother took me to an overgrown tiny cemetary (Old Cedar?)next to a white frame Methodist church, and told me that her mother was burried there. I have searched and even had local help searcing for her burial records but came up with nothing.
