Alice,

Your information raised more questions than it answered. While the 1860 Orange Co. census fits in with what I have, the James and Elizabeth Cooper on the 1850 census do not fit in anywhere. I have Uriah's parents listed as Hope Hull Cooper and Sarah Holden, both born abt. 1814 and married in St. Tammany Parish abt. 1837.
