Here's one of the deed records from Lincoln Co.
1831 Sep 01 LINCOLN COUNTY, TN DEED BOOK "1" Page 143 Deed from John Greer to William F. Mason for 447 acres. ANDREW GREER of Carter County, Tennessee died intestate, seized amongst other things of a 1500 acre tract and a 2500 acre tract of land in Lincoln County, Tennessee on Cane Creek and was entered by him, leaving Joseph Greer, Andrew Greer, Alexander Greer, Ruth Greer, Thomas Greer, John Greer, Margery Greer, Jincy Greer, Vance Greer, and POLLY GREER, his children and heirs at law and whereas afterwards by an oath of Agreement entered unto between the aforesaid heirs, it was agreed that John Greer, Vance Greer, George Wilson in the right of his wife Margery Greer and NATHANIEL BLACKAMORE in right of his wife POLLY should have their part of aforesaid estate of Andrew Greer, deceased. The whole of the above mentioned 2500 acres as well as the 1500 acre tract before mentioned reserving for Andrew Greer, Junr. one (illegible) of the before mentioned 2500 acre tract &c. Joseph Greer was selected to make a division of the before mentioned 2500 acre tract and there was allotted to John Greer that tract of land upon which he now lives and after deducting therefrom that part which the said John Greer has previously surveyed to Andrew Moore, the balance as follows, adjoining the south east corner of said tract, and Vance Greer's north west corner, and Andrew Moore's north east corner. Said land granted by the State of North Carolina to Andrew by Grant No. 340(?). This 1st September 1831. Wit A.I. Nicks and S. Mason. Reg: 11th January 1832.
