Since you know when and where she died, do you have a copy of her death certificate? It should show the names of her parents, but accuracy only as good as the knowledge of the informant. On the other hand she filled out the application for her Soc Sec card and it should show the names of her parents, her residence at the time of application and other data, too.

I am assuming "Glady" is a nickname, or maybe a typo. Following is combined info from TX Dth Idx and SSDI:

Giles, Gladys Lucille, b 7 Apr 1901; d 27 Jun 1979 Hunt Co, TX; last residence Celeste, Hunt Co, TX; last benefit Leonard, Fannin Co, TX; SS card issued in TX.

Death record will be in Hunt Co, TX.
