This is a possible match for Hugh. Looks like in the census, Hugh is spelled Hew. The middle initials is off from the marrige but that can happen. The year is right on. Caldwell county is one county south of Travis.

1900 Caldwell Co. TX Census 4 J-PCT P169

" Thomas C son w m Feb? 1885 15 AL
" Claud N son w m Nov 1887 12 sgl AL
" Jacob G? son w m Jan 1894 6 sgl TX
" Malinda D? dau w f Jan 1896 4 sgl TX
" Leonard D son w m Sep 1898 1 TX

1930 Callahan Co, TX Census 6 J-PCT P166
Cain Leonard D head m w 31 sgl tX AL AL farmer
" Francis mother f w 71 WD AL AL AL

Cain John head m w 40 m1 @ 27yrs TX AL AL farmer (Jacob)
" Annie wife f w 37 m1 @ 24yrs TX TX TX

There are three Thomas Cains in the 1880 Alabama census but the parents aren't born in AL as indicated by the 1900 census. This could be error also. You can probably get some obit and further your information.

That's about it.
