DR. DOAK BLASSINGAME, FAMILY HISTORIAN AND THE AUTHOR OF TWO BOOKS ON THE BLAS(S)INGAME FAMILY HISTORY, passed away March 17, 2005. He was injured in a fall in his home late last year and has since udergone several operations. He fell again about a month ago and although he had no life threatening injuries from that fall, his health began a downward spiral that they could not reverse.

Fisher Funeral Home on Main Street in Denison, Texas has charge of the arrangements. Memorial services are scheduled for Mondey March 21,2005 at 10:30 AM (CST) at the First Christian Church in Denison, Texas .

Dr. Doak was a great member of our extended family. His contribution to our family research is monumental. Without the work that he has done, we would know much less about our family history.

Please join me in tribute to this great kinsman.
Don Blasingame
