West will probably show up on the 1840 census in TN. With less common given name of West you should be able to find in which county he is residing and then track his parents and family there.
The 1880 census does not show whether someone owns land, but Zachariah does in MO in 1870. When you find where he dies, look for land and probate records, see if your Joseph shows up as an heir.
There is a Zacharia Price 54, b MO, TN, TN in Payne Co, OK 1900 census, with a younger wife, married 17 yrs. Is this any where near where your Joseph was last known in OK? Zachariah there in 1910 and 1920, too. This would tell you he died after 1920, I do not have access to the 1930 census at home for OK.
