John Newton Sorrels, born 2-6-1848, in North Carolina

Has anyone come across John Newton Sorrels while doing their research? He was in Dallas, Texas around 1910 or later. When did he die, where is he burried?

He married a Nancy Jane Williams in Arkansas, year unknown.
They had three sons, William Newton Sorrels, Marion R. Sorrels, and John Stanley Sorrels. John Newton Sorrels deserted his wife and children when the children were small.
Sometime after 1905, William Newton received a letter and picture of John Newton. The letter was from Dallas, Texas.
Did he have another family in Dallas?

Would appreciate any info you might have.
