Not sure he died of Yellow Fever either, but I have a death date for him as 1 June 1861 in Orange Co, TX We know that he was in Calcasieu Parish, LA for the 1860 census and that in Sept 1863 his wife remarried in Madison County, TX having moved to Madison County with her parents before that time.
The daughter of Carlton married in Madison County and I have been trying to make connections with anyone connected to her, her husband or any children, but so far no luck.
You remember "that man", I think was named Robert, said he paid for the information about Samuel B. Turner dying in 1862 in Sabine Pass from Yellow Fever and would not share with us where he got it because he paid for it, well I figure there MUST be a list somewhere and with so many good people out there willing to share one of them had this list!
With additional research on the Donaho line I find that a couple generations back these Donaho's connect to one of MY husband's latteral lines! In re reading some of my old notes I also find that a man I corresponded with about 5 years ago said he was descended from Sarah Jane Donaho Midkiff May! I will try to make contact with him again!
