Karen - No I've not checked the probate records but will.
I did get a copy of the marriage licenses papers but none list his or her parents (but I know her family). I have a cousin in Okla. City that has his family's bible and his mother kept good records, but nothing there about William's parents. Our grandmother lived with another cousin's family but she was only 5 or so at the time and can't help much.
I've been checking on McKay's in Texas and maybe I can run down some distant relatives. I never give up.
Many, many thanks for your suggestions and I will check the
probate records.
