I see John and his family on 1910 census in OK, do you know where he was from in TX? On the 1900 census in TX lots of Johns his age, born in TX, and none show middle initial of B., so hard to choose which is your John. (^_^)

Have you tried doing a little research on the name of Briggs? It might be a little less common then Hill, and I'm willing to bet it is a family surname in the tree somewhere, maybe his mother's or grandmother's maiden name????
