Geuin/Guin/Gewin family from Mississippi
Posted by: James Geuin (ID *****5231) Date: December 27, 2004 at 19:36:04

I have recently been looking for family roots and have found some very interesting facts. . . . I am James Geuin, son of Percy Geuin, son of Allie Benton Geuin. Allie was born in Texas in 1890 the 3rd to the youngest child of Christopher C. Geuin (Gewen/Guin) and Ellen Gallaway. Christopher and Ellen were both born in Mississippi, and Christopher was the son of Daniel H. Geuin (Gewin) born in South Carolina about 1803. I think the S.C. was altered because the family was actually in Anson County, N.C. However, the survey data was not correct and much of Anson County was found to actually be South Carolina. Daniel was the son of John and they had a land grant in Nansmond County Virginia . . . which no longer exists.

Let me know if you can connect us with you . . . .

Thanks, Jim
