In Reply to: DRUZILLA (DRAGOO) GALLAND IN 1900 CENSUS SAN ANTONIO by Janis Dunn of 65474

Did she have a son named Isaac? Only Galland I find on the 1900 census in TX is in Roberts Co, TX (up in the panhandle, no where near Bexar Co.)

Galland, Isaac H., hd, 42, M 15 yrs, b IA, OH, OH
" Ida, wf, 34, M 15 yrs, 0 children, b IA, __, IA
plus 3 nieces and 4 boarders. Isaac is a RR track foreman and all his boarders work on the RR.

There are 11 Galland families on the 1900 census in IA, she might be living with one of them at the time of the census. Index is head of household only.

You might try the TX state archives in Austin, they have a TX state wide death index 1903-1940, and they could tell you if and when she died in TX, and county of her death.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
