Do you have a Family History Center near you? They are online and have subscription to Ancestry.com. You can avail yourself of their services, and their volunteers will help with your research on Ancestry.

Check out public libraries in your area, see if they have a subscription to Heritage Quest, only libraries can subscribe to that one. They have "some" censuses indexed; PERSI; index to over 24,000 famiy and county histories and recently added some Rev War pensions. With library card and password you can go online and use HQ at home.

My Scottish blood likes things that are FREE. LOL

Happy Hunting (^_^)
