Is that the Clarksville of Red River Co, TX? Have you checked the soundex for 1900 census? Shouldn't be too many families with name of Bevans. When you say family of F.M. Bevans, assume you mean when he was youngster still at home. Just find a Bevans family with son named Franklin Marion on 1900 census. Do you know when and where Franklin got married? In the early days, records vary as what they put down, but always the chance his parents names are on the marriage record. Or, on his death record, if you know when and where he died? Obitaries can be helpful, too.
