I saw your post regarding the cemetery in Sabinal and wondered if you could answer a question for me.A few years ago, on a trip to Texas, I talked to a lady in a mortuary in Uvalde.I didn't take down the name of that mortuary, but she said they owned the one in Sabinal and it would only have staff there if a funeral was occurring. She showed me a plot plan for the Sabinal Cemetery with location of the grave of my gr gr grandfather, Alexander Fleming Walker. The next day, on our way through Sabinal, we stopped and walked that area of the cemetery and could not find a headstone. Two workers, in broken English, gave me the name of a gentleman and to check back at the coffee shop.A very friendly lady in the coffee shop gave me the address of that man, but he was not home. I was told he would be in the coffee shop about 2:00 pm for his regular visit, but we were running out of time and didn't want take a chance the gentleman wouldn't show up that day.We had a lot more of Texas (and other cemeteries) to see and visit.Do you have records that show whether there is a headstone on the grave of:
Alexander Fleming Walker
b 14 Nov 1844
d 21 Mar 1926
He was in the Civil War, and I understand he would be eligible for a government headstone.
