Bernard and Heirich Gerdes-1846 Recklinghausen Census
Posted by: Paul Gerdes (ID *****0147) Date: November 13, 2004 at 14:28:50
  of 60184

Am looking for connections to the following individuals

Heinrich Gerdes b.abt.1830
Bernard Gerdes b. abt. 1832
Elisabeth Gerdes b. abt. 1835
Anna Maria Gerdes b. abt. 1831
Father - Klemens Gerdes b. abt. 1797
Mother - Maria Franziska Schafers (two little dots above the "a") b. abt. 1799
Maria's Father (maybe) Heinrich Schafersmann b. abt. 1767

These names appear on a Census of Volkszahlung Recklinghausen - 1846
if interested, the link is:

There is a possibility that Heinrich and Bernard came to Texas at different times (we think in 1855 and 1867) arriving at New Orleans and Indianola, Texas respectively and settling in Koerth - Hallettsville area.

We have not been able to make the connection of Bernard and Heinrich (Henry), and have been unable to find Immigration records for Henry and family

Thanks for any connections anybody may have about these individuals that appear on the Census, and if there is any possibility that this family is the same one that came through New Orleans and Indianola.

My website (names index) where the Gerdes' tree is posted is:

Thanks
