Federal Census Records indicate that two Perkins brothers, Wyatt (1889-MO) and Horace (1894-IL), are found living in Hemphill County in 1920; both are working for the Railroad.
Horace is living by himself (as a single border) at Canadian, Justin Precinct, but Wyatt lives in District 1 with his wife Dorothy E. and their two small daughters: Dorothy A. and Hazel D. Perkins. Since both children and mother are listed as being born in Colorado, I assume that the couple was married circa 1913-1914 in Colorado, and have moved to Texas between 1916-1920.
Is there any way to access records from/about this county that might yield information about this family? The older daughter must have attended school, but this would be sealed information. Are there any local directories?
I found a Social Security Death Index Record for Wyatt that indicates he moved to Tulsa and was deceased there in Feb 1975.
I live out of state and cannot visit libraries locally in Texas.
Thanks for any helpful suggestions.
