The online TX Dth Idx shows Edward as separated/divorced. If so, the informant on his death certificate probably would not be a wife. You might try finding someone to do marriage and divorce lookups in Jefferson Co, TX. Try the RAOGK (Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness) site. There are a couple of volunteers listed who will do public record lookups. They will charge only for out of pocket expenses.

Is Ola still alive? If not, a copy of her death certificate should show the names of her parents, including her mother's maiden name. Accuracy will only be as good as the knowledge of the informant, but if she had a Soc Sec card, she filled out the application for that card herself. It should show the names of her parents, her residence at the time of the application and other data, too.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
