Thanks Joan for your advice. Unfortunately the library near me is limited on a lot of their stuff and I have looked online, but Macon county doesn't seem to have much. I do however have the information on the 1860, 1870 and 1880 census. I would like to find out who Clement's father and mother were. Somewhere I got information that his father was Jesse Hughes, but I cannot confirm that yet. Thanks for your help.
