Dr.Charles Leal was Arthur Charles Leal, he is a decendant of the Leal's from St. Augustine, Texas. He changed his name to Leale when he joined the Union. He married a rich
woman, which helped him become a Doctor. His name is said to have been Arturo Carlos Leal. He was a genious, according to tales in the Famiy Circles. He is related to Antonio Leal a founder of Texas. However, opinions of the South and the North among this Line of Leals differ. They
fought during the Civil War in different sides. It's a long interesting story. Mr.Paul Harvy knows some of it. The documenttion is Not always supported by the Fact, though.
