Looks like Charlie died between 1920 and 1930. Contact the TX State Archives in Ausin, they have a TX state wide death index 1903-1940, they should be able to give you date and county of death for him.
Have you ever visited a Family History Center? You can order out microfilmed copies of county records from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City through your local FHC, for a nominal fee. Their catalog is online at the FamilySearch site and you can see if they've filmed any records on the county you want. Have you used that site?
