Thanks for your prompt reply. This is the correct family in LA. This W C that you listed in LA in 1870 is the family that I am trying to get information on. Two of his children were born in TX according to the 1880 census, so I am assuming W C and family moved to Ellis County, TX from Jackson, LA and WC must have died prior to the 1880 census. I would like to find his grave and death info on his wife and what happened to the children. I have some information on W C's (William Church) ancestry in AL and GA but need more. His father was Andrew Gibson - mother Frances Ann Gibson (another Gibson family) - Grandfather William Gibson (Wilkes Co GA) and grandmother Patience Tarver. I need info on William Gibson as well.
