Forgive me if I make suggestions you've already tried, but have you posted your query on the "unknown" county of LA GenWeb site? It worked for me on the one for KY. A lady took me back another generation, when she recognized my family. You might say it is like doing a state wide sweep, hoping someone will spot your connection.

All GenWeb states have an "unknown" county site. When we have people early in a state, then leave after a few years, often we do not know the name of the county where they were located. Most researchers are into using the county sites, and but some are either unaware of the "unknown" county site, or just haven't tried them, yet.

Happy Hunting (^_^)
