Adolph Carl Jatzlau

Nov. 27, 1917 Feb. 13, 2004


Adolph Carl Jaztlau passed away on February 13, 2004, in the Giddings Health Care Center. Funeral services were held at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with Bob Little Officiating. Burial was in the Germania Cemetery in Lexington, Texas.

Mr. Jatzlau was born on November 27, 1917, in Fedor, Texas to Alvin and Louise Lehmann Jatzlau. On December 14, 1940, he married Renatha Proske. He was a carpenter with Gaeke Construction.
Mr. Jatzlau was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Ervin Jatzlau, Marvin Jatzlau, Walter Jatzlau, and Herbert Jatzlau; and one sister, Elsie Lay.

Surviving relatives include: his wife of 63 years, Renatha Jatzlau of Giddings; a son, Mike and Carolyn Jatzlau of Giddings; five grandchildren, Warren and Amy Jatzlau of Temple, Lane Jatzlau of College Station, Audrey and Kerry Jones of Tennessee, Kathy and David Zelem of Tennessee, and Mitch and Susan Hurst of Illinois; and ten great grandchildren, Kira Jones, Jared Jones, Aaron Jones, Kellen Jones, Hayden Zelem, Kaela Zelem, Evan Zelem, Jack Hurst, Madison Jatzlau and Holden Jatzlau.
