I think that our Chaney families connect since your names are so similar to our Va. family. I have a Hiram b. in 1749 who is a son of Hezekiah Sr. Cowdens are married into this family. You can find much data about the Chaneys in Va. in the book: Maryland and Virginia Colonials by Sharon J. Doliante. If you don't have this in your local library, ask for an intra library loan.(this is how I got my copy).
