Good advice! Would you believe that 5 minutes after I posted the first message that I got a copy of that book in the morning mail! I looked on page 94 and quickly narrowed down Dorothy's father to one likely candidate: James G. Lee.
I looked him up in the 1920 US Federal Census of South Dakota and found him, his wife Lilian, Dorothy, and her two sisters and one brother. (The James G. Lee family census information was immediately below Lilian's father, Fred R. Babcock and her mother and brother.)
