Thank you for your response. Ross in Brazoria County was listed in the original (1954), two volume version (with a much later supplement for a third volume) of the Handbook of Texas (as opposed to the 1996-published, six volume The New Handbook of Texas, and its online equivalent, The Handbook of Texas Online). Ross (Brazoria County) and Ross (McLennan County) are both mentioned in the article "Ross, Texas" in the original ("old") handbook (p. 508, volume 2). I'd like to find out when the Brazoria County station was established and for whom it was named. I don't believe it ever had a post office. I've seen reference to it as Ross' Station.
