Researching David Brooks, born in AR in 1843. He was on the 1880 Hood County, TX census, Precinct 1. Married Edie (Eda), possibly Eda Sophoria Jones, in either Hunt or Kaufman County, TX in approx. 1868-69. He belonged to the 22 Texas Cavalry during the Civil War, but was denied a pension in 1906 as he was reported to have been under-age. Children were Charly Larkin, Lily, Addie, Elija and Jane. He may have lived in Palo Pinto Co. TX for a while. I believe he was living with a daughter in 1920 in Oklahoma City, OK. Any information is appreciated.
