From list of old TX post offices, there was a Price's Hill in San Augustine Co, TX, Jul 1848 just to Dec 1848.And a Price in Anderson Co, TX 1899-1905.
This looks like Eleanor, age fits, and she owns land herself, plus I'd say from value of personal property, maybe she owns slaves, too.
1860 census Anderson Co, TX:
Price, E., female, 60, b SC, farmer, land 1750, pers 9000.
" W.A., female, 24, b AL, married within the year
" S.A., female, 22, b AL, married within the year
[I would guess one of the above youner Prices was a male.]
Two pages away:
Price, C.L., 39, b AL, farmer, land 1600, pers 10,900.
" E.A., 30, b AL, fem
" T.E., 9, b TX, fem
" F.E., 7, b TX, male
" S.E., 4, b TX, fem
" C.J., 10/12, b TX, fem
1870 census Anderson Co, TX:
Price, C.L., 49, b AL
" Elizabeth, 40, b AL
" F.E., 16, b TX, male
" Sarah E., 13, b TX
" Isabel A., 8, b TX
" Saml B., 6, b TX
" Sydney J., 4, b TX
" Dink, 3, 3, b TX, male
" Bud, 1, b TX
Have you found a probate record for Eleanor? She might have made a request of where she wanted to be buried, her land or her son's.
Have you seen Anderson Co, TX GenWeb site? They have a list of volunteers who will do specific lookups.
Happy Hunting (^_^)
