Do you know when and where Hiram died in IL? Did he own any land? Did he leave a will? In a will he might leave everything to younger children of second marriage, but if not, then all his children would be heirs. See who shows up in probate and land records. All heirs will sign off on final sale of land to give clear title to buyer. Good way to pick up married names of females in the family.
